SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL

GENERAL INFORMATION

Velo Avanti is a bicycling organization affiliated with the United States Cycling Federation (USCF). The team’s purpose is to advance the sport of bicycle racing and riding, develop and support team members within the sport, and organize and promote bicycle racing events.

Membership in Velo Avanti has grown from 15 original members in 1985 (then known as Brea Velo) to one of the Western United States larger racing clubs. Membership consists of men and women of various age classes including Juniors (ages 10-18), Seniors (ages 19-29), and Masters (ages 30 and older. Velo Avanti is also a charter member of the Southern California Youth Cycling Association (SCYCA) which was organized with the goal of introducing youth to the sport of competitive cycling.

Velo Avanti is a well organized team with elected officers and a Board of Directors. Team meetings are held regularly.  Velo Avanti is a charter member of the Southern California and Nevada Cycling Association (SCNCA), who also distribute publications containing race announcements, race results, and sponsor’s advertisements for the California/Arizona/Nevada bicycle racing community. Velo Avanti is affiliated with the JAX Bicycle Center of Southern, California.

TEAM GOALS

·        To be competitive and place team members in the top 10 places of major races held in the Western United States.

·        To support team members in achieving top results at State, National, and World Championship events, providing assistance to our team members in attending these race opportunities.

·        To build on the strengths of our teams and recruit additional racers and riders of all abilities.

·         To maximize team and sponsor exposure during training and racing.

·        To organize, promote, and encourage participation in bicycle racing events.

·        To support and encourage entrance of Juniors and Women into the sport.

·        To achieve excellence and have fun doing so.

BENEFITS OF ASSOCIATION

Your organization will receive excellent exposure from healthy, active Velo Avanti team members. Your organization’s name and/or logo will appear on our team clothing. Your organization’s name/logo will be included as a team sponsor at team race events (Velo Avanti hosts two bicycle racing events each year). Our racers are excellent real-life role models and great examples for endorsements. Velo Avanti’s continuing success assures maximum exposure throughout the region.

Velo Avanti racers have appeared in numerous nationwide cycling publications as well as other sports publications. Local newspapers and radio stations report on races in their area. Local, regional, and national television stations often tape selected bicycle races. This media coverage will further broaden your organization’s exposure and customer awareness.

Your organization will also get regular exposure through team ads race announcements, which are distributed, throughout the Southwest region of the United States. Team clothing is worn daily for training as well as racing, providing further exposure, as team members act as “mobile billboards”.

Association with Velo Avanti is affiliation with an organization of winners and an outstanding sport that projects a positive, healthy image.
